Bit the Bullett

Well I bit the bullet and decided to become a blogger. One of my "I nevers." Just like my "I never" will let MY kids eat in the car or "I never" will let my kids sleep with me or "I never" will drive a minivan... You get the point. I quit saying I never a long time ago. So I decided to help log our families adventures for several reasons 1. to share with family far and near and 2. so one day I can actually remember what went on in this time of complete fogginess. Parker keeps asking me to tell him funny stories about when he was a baby and thank goodness I actually wrote it down because I simply can not remember. Which is incredibly sad. And now with two, I really will have a hard time remembering what each of them did on their own.

SO hear it goes. The last two months have been incredibly fast, tiring, joyful and moments of tears. We absolutely adore our two new family members. Even as exhausting as they both are. They have done so much growing in just 9 weeks I am so trying to savor every minute since these will be our LAST and it goes so fast.

Today we went for our two month check-up. I am always so anxious to find out how much they weigh. We know they are both gaining weight because they both have those adorable baby rolls on their thighs and double chins! Berkeley weighed 11 lbs 7 oz and was 22 3/4 inches long and Zoey weighed 10 lbs 1 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. Berkeley has made it into the 50%!!! It is amazing to think they have both doubled their birth weights in two months. Luckily my friend Deidre came with me to the appointment today because Troy couldn't. Nothing is harder than two babies screaming after shots! I needed some extra loving hands. Mommy cried too! Luckily it didn't last long.

Berkeley is a momma's girl. She loves to be held which at times can be exhausting! She is really looking around at things and is starting to really smile! And yes she does have blue eyes and so does Zoey. It is crazy to think that 3 out of our 4 kids have blue eyes (we both have brown.) At least they are blue for now and keep getting lighter so only time will tell. Every time we put her in the bath tub her tongue instantly starts coming out waiting for water to accidentally get in her mouth. Both girls luckily NOW like to take a bath. No more screaming! Berkeley even slept from 11:00-5:3o this morning! Hopefully sleeping through the night is right around the corner!

Zoey is still as fiesty as ever. She lets you know it fast and loud if she is unhappy! Especially if you can't get her bottle to her fast enough! She likes to hang out by herself a little bit more than her sister. Zoey loves to sleep right next to her sister. She will scoot and scoot until she finds Berkeley. Not too sure if Berkeley likes it but it is precious to watch her move. They both are holding their heads up when on their bellies and standing on their legs for quite a bit!
Well they should be waking up soon! Until next time....
