First of all I have to send a HUGE thank you to those who sponsored me in the March of Dimes March for Babies. They helped me raise a total of $145. Donations were made by Kathy Mars, Judy Pearson, Beth Johnson, and Wanda Gabriel.
One of my friends who also has identical twin girls wrote a very good Why I March on her blog. Please go read! The march was on the Saturday before Mother's day. It was hot and humid and we had a late baseball game the night before, my sister and her three kids were here to walk, and a sweet little Zoey who decided that night not to sleep. So needless to say Troy and I were exhausted and not in too good of moods that morning. But we toughened up and made downtown with all 11 of us by 9:20ish to meet with other AMOMer (Austin Moms of Multiples) Even some triplet mommies were walking. We all walked the 3.2 miles up to the capital and back.
I found myself crying at times when I would come up on shirts that said "Noah born 17 weeks to early" or "Full hearts empty hands" So many babies born way too early. Some miraculously survived with medical miracles and others not so lucky. It was truly inspirational! I found myself looking at my girls with such awe to be so lucky to have had such healthy babies!
