OK so many of you know that we don't "officially" know if the girls are identical or fraternal. And in the BIG picture, it really doesn't matter but I really want to know. The entire time we were pregnant, based on the sonograms they said there was one placenta which would definitely mean identical. We had many sonograms (4 different doctors and 2 different technicians) and they all said the same. When the girls were born they looked very different. Berkeley had a ton of dark hair and Zoey didn't have much at all. Their heads were shaped very differently, but we knew that based on sonograms and they said it was very common in twin b (Zoey) to have an oblong head based on where she was. They were also 10 ounces different which doesn't sound like a lot but in their little world it is. So because they looked so different, at two weeks I called my OB's office and asked if there was one or two placentas and sure enough there was two placentas. So to us it was obvious , we thought, they must be fraternal. Well the older they get and the more weight Zoey gains, she looks a lot like Berkeley. Berkeley's look has not changed but Zoey's has. Things that makes us think they are identical: their BLUE eye color is the same (Troy and I both have brown eyes), their hair color is the same, they both have the exact same strawberry mark on the back of their neck, both of their top lips are connected to the botand they both have the same dimple in their left cheek. So I put some pictures of when they were little to now to show this transformation. Anyway, I mailed the test on Saturday and hopefully in about two weeks we will know for sure, identical or fraternal. What do you think?

My guess is identical (in my professional opinion). But who knows! Maybe they are just fraternal twins who look very much alike! And although it really doesn't matter, Mom just HAS to know - and every single person who ever stops you while you are trying to shop.
