Last week we went to our church's VBS. There were 32 crews of 5 kids in each group in the elementary age group, plus the preschool kids, and nursery kiddos and countless volunteers. Each crew started out in the sanctuary which was decorated as a ship. The theme this year was High Seas. I love how each day there is a bible point, a bible story, and a bible verse and the kids go to different stations and hear and see the story told through games, snacks, a video, theater, and crafts. My favorite every year is bible voyage which it is where the adults are dressed up like the characters in the story and the kids get to interact during the story!!!
Hunter was very excited to be old enough to volunteer with the preschool group. He was with 3 and 4 year olds and did a fabulous job. He received many compliments on a job well done. I was very proud of him and if you have seen him in action with little ones you would not be surprised. He is great!!!
Parker was in a crew of incoming 3rd and 4th, graders. He had a great time too! I had the best job of being the photographer. I got to walk around and see what everyone was doing and take pictures for the slide show. I was most worried about how the girls would do being there 3-4 hours. They had never done that before. Every time I say we are going to church, Berkeley always says "NO wry, No wry" as she is doing the sign for crying. The first day was a little rough and they both cried but by the time I was out the door and signing them in, they were fine. By the end of the week they were walking in the class and no tears!!! Makes me feel better about MDO that they will start in September at our church.

At the end of the day the nursery kiddos got to come in the sanctuary and would go into the cry room. The girls would get into the cribs and DANCE and jump. They loved it! They were jumping right before someone took the picture. I couldn't go over there or they would cry.

Playing outside! Notice in every picture Berkeley has her bulldog. She loves that thing!!!
